Living On Reynolds Drive : 1964 To 1983

A Memory of Queensbury.

My name was Donna Francis and I lived at 106 Reynolds Drive with my mum, Diane Francis, dad Donald Francis, brother Colin and sister Tina.
Our neighbours were Vera and George Monk, Ted and Helena Weatherly lived at 100, both my godparents. The Mr and Mrs Byford with Susan and Colin. Trevor Bradshaw electrician and builder, built our extension 1977.
I went to Stag lane 69 to 77 and then Canons High 77 to 81.
I had a Saturday job at Suzanne’s hairdressers on Queensbury Circle.
My grandparents both lived on Millais Gardens, nanny Francis number 8 and nanny and grandad Beard 21.
Shops on Mollison, the knitting and sewing store, with a photography store next door. Small library, two butchers, two hairdressers, pet store, fishing and gun store, our doctor. Three sweet shops, top one had the post office, small shoe shop and optician…
We used to walk every where, Burnt Oak for our main shopping .
