A Memory of Ranmore Common.
I have such happy memories of Ranmore school from 1945 until 1952
Miss Piper and Miss Martin, such excellent teachers, got me through my 11+
The dinner lady, Louie Luff, always gave me second helpings.
Using my sweet coupons in the post office on Fridays, punching Georgie Mackay on the nose for trying to steal my sweets !
Walking up through the woods from Yew Tree Farm to catch the bus across the common.
Such a happy and rewarding childhood.
