More about this scene
One of the most beautiful of the many lovely Broads churches is St Helens at Ranworth, a short walk from the staithe. The road has widened little since 1934, and there is now a small area where two or three cars can park. The owners of the old-fashioned bicycles propped against the fence are working on the verge opposite.
