Rayners Lane, Harrow Pet Shop

A Memory of Rayners Lane.

My Dad used to get off the train and go to the pet shop in search of unusual pets for my brother and I.
I believe it was a large pet shop. Would love to find more information, does anyone else remember it ? We lived there in 1960- 1975

I lived in South Harrow between 1960 and 1976. I often visited the pet shop you mention. I think it was called Peters - a large double fronted shop opposite the station. I also recall its signage was in green. On another point did you go to Roxeth Manor secondary between 1965 and 1970?

Watching Foyle's War my wife mentioned prisoner of war camps. Net research has two sites listing one at Rayners Lane. Does anyone have any information about this and where it might have been situated

Yes it was called peters pet shop. I bought a budgie from there in 1956.
