More about this scene
Ringwood sits on the River Avon, and is situated on the Hampshire/Dorset border. In 1936 the town mill was demolished, making way for the first Ringwood bypass - it has since been widened. The fifth building on the left is Woolley & Wallis the estate agents, who are still trading. In 1961 in nearby Market Place, Ringwood Electrical sold the new vapour-controlled Russell Hobbs kettle for £6 1s.
