More about this scene
The Bear is recorded as a public house and stagecoach inn as early as 1751, positioned along the then route from Stroud via Minchinhampton to Cirencester. The long, striped building to the left was formerly the headquarters of the Stroud Golf Club, which played on the 9-hole Rodborough Common Course.
