More about this scene

The Farrier's Arms 1955 Locals from the solid-looking Farrier's Arms pose for the camera. The other solid building in the village was the old vicarage, a former much-altered pele- tower with a barrel-vaulted ground floor. In 1955 the village also boasted a number of 18th-century cottages.
