This photograph shows the junction of the High Street with Wood Street to the right. We can see the squat tower of St Bartholomew and All Saints' church rising over the roofs. Note the railings underneath the Town Hall, which have now been removed. The corner house on the end of Wood Street was restored to match the Town Hall in the restoration of 1889.
