The memorial cross stands on Lawrence Sheriff Street, and was erected to the memory of those who died in the First World War. No names are inscribed on it, but there is also a war memorial chapel built in 1922 (as an adjunct to the main chapel), in which the names of hundreds of Old Rugbeians are inscribed.
