Living In The Fox Inn
A Memory of Rushton Spencer.
My Mother, Annette Mercer, lived here with her parents Margaret and Harold Mercer and siblings Roger, Lynda, Bruce and Carolyn in 1953. From here they went to Denton, Lancashire. Annette worked in the office of Wood Treatment in Biddulph. She was age 16 at the time.

We currently live at The Fox Inn in Rushton James. My husband has seen an old man comforting his wife in a chair, in our bedroom and also a ginger cat. Do you know who these people maybe and if indeed a cat did live at The fox at some point?
