Medieval Banquets At The Bay Tree

A Memory of Salisbury.

In the early seventies, I was a student at Sarum St Michael College of Education in the Cathedral Close.
The weekends were incredibly boring, with nothing to do and nowhere to have fun.
Until, a friend asked me if I would like to work as a "Serving Wench",at Medieval Banquets hosted at the Bay Tree Restaurant in Salisbury.
Suddenly, my weekends changed , and every weekend was pure fun.
Unfortunately, recently, I have had no luck researching information and past photos from that period of time on the internet.
Please contact me if you worked there or know someone who did.

In the early seventies, around 1975/5 I was a student at Loughborough University where I first discovered folk music thanks to the resident trio Trotto. Coincidentally we all hailed from the Bournemouth area. Trotto - Dave Kettlewell (hammer dulcimer, clarinet), Dave Lochner (Guitar) and Dick Brecknock (fiddle) regularly played for the Medieval Banquets at the Bay Tree. Martin ?? was the MC.
