Happy Days At Rws
A Memory of Sawbridgeworth.
Hello. After leaving RWS the boys and girls in 1969-70. Wanstead.
I went to RWS Hyde Hall 1970-71, just before it closed. I can recall sharing the dormitory with 5 girls from different cultural backgrounds. I really enjoyed their friendship. Unfortunately, I have not had any further contact with them. Their names may have changed or they may have returned to their own country. I really enjoyed my time at Hyde Hall. My favourite maths teacher was a Scots lady Mrs Baird-Fraser. I learnt to ride a horse and ballet. Loved adventures roaming the sunken gardens and enjoyed playing tennis. Most exciting experience I can remember scrumping in the apple Orchards.
