My great-great-grandfather worked as a gardener and groom at Scawby Hall in the 1800s. He was John Henson. His son, also John, worked there, and also his daughter, Maud Alice. My gt-uncle, Thomas Higgs was a Footman here in 1911, although how the heck he got here from Spratton, Northants, where he was born is anybody's guess! I'd love to know.
