My Grandfather, Harvey Madgwick, was a broom squire,and he lived in a cottage down in the bowl (as my mother related to me). It was a hard life for these people, but my mother(being bought up by her grandparents) told us many times of the broom squires and their children who lived there.

Late 1920's Old School Called Radcliffe House?
My father went to a post-secondary school in Radwell about 1928 for further education, fitting him for going into a bank (his father wanted him to do it, but in the end he never did!). The family records say he went to Radcliffe House, but I can't find any trace of it.
