1959

Hello, I was a border at Bacton for about a year and then went to Hunstanton School when I was 14 years old. I remember a girl called Jenny Daglish, I think she came from Blakeney. Anyone who wants to talk and remember good and bad times.

St Michaels 'old Girls'

I was a boarder at St Michaels Convent, Uckfield from 1954-1961 and would be interested to hear from anyone who was there at that time; particularly Jennifer Holmes, as she then was. She was my best friend.

Port Regis Catholic School

I never thought I would be commenting on Port Regis. In fact, I have totally forgotten about this place. I could not even remember where it was located. Somehow, the name of Port Regis came into my head tonight and I ...Read more

'swabies' Itchel Lane Crondall

Boarding At St Peter's Court

I was a boarder at St Peter's Court from the age of 6 to 10. My father worked on the oil fields in Iraq and because of my age we got special permission for me to board during the civil war there. My two eldest ...Read more

Whitchurch Grammar Boarding School

I was a boarder from 1956 to 1960. It was a boys only school at the time , and there were around 28 boarders from first to sixth form. I belief there were around 240 boys total at the school. I remember the ...Read more

Blue Pencil Cafe, County Oak Crawley

Built as an Egg Farm and local produce outlet pre WW2 it became a Transport Café during the 1940's through the 1950's and into the 1960's. Well known on the A23. As a schoolboy I lived 100 yards south over the ...Read more

Memories Of School

I was a boarder at WGS from 1957 to 1964 and it doesn't live in my mind as the happiest place in the world - but there were plenty of girls who did love it, I remember. I was only thinking of it yesterday, ...Read more
