Calder Girls School
A Memory of Seascale.
I stayed in the Scafell Hotel with my family. We moved to Seascale in the 1950's as my Father worked at Windscale. I went to Calder Girls School for about four years. I recently visited Seascale to attend my Father's funeral and a week later my Mothers, in August 2009. I walked along the beach and Seascale felt very different from my memories!

I just came across you because, with friends, we were talking about old school songs. I started googling our Companionship and one thing led to another and I ended up here. I was there from 1951-56 (left at the end of Va, much to B&G's disgust) - what form would you have been in in 1956?
I loved the beach! My birthday is May 16th and every year I was there, we had started "sea swimming" by then. The thought makes me shudder now!
Perhaps more if I know this has reached you!
