Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

On either side of the High Street, some of the former well-stocked shops have become estate agents, marketing the many bungalows and houses that were built for families who came year after year to enjoy the sea air, the fine sands and the seclusion. At least the Crown Inn (right) survives for the visitors' enjoyment!

Crown Riding Stables

I absolutely loved my child hood days I spent with Mr Cootes Ann and her mum My mum and dad used to leave me there for the whole of the summer hols I would help with the ponies and live in the farm house I have some wonderful memories of all the ponies I used to look after paddy I have loads of pic

White Horse Caravan Camp
I remember my Mum and I staying here in the early 60s. Every evening the caravanners from West Sands would come over to the ballroom at the White Horse to be entertained by Mick Urry and his orchestra

Horse Riding
As well as Tony Lee’s riding stables behind the Crown there was another one run by Mrs Dudeen which you found by riding down the side of the cinema and the stables were at the back. I used to help by mucking out and grooming and getting the horse I used to look after ready for customers to ride - his name was Peter Buttercup. The Selsey Bill
I think it is now closed. I thought your memory was so touching. I spent some time in Selsey but never knew anybody there. Thanks for your post.

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
