Sunny Hill Georgian Manor House

A Memory of Shirehampton.

When my father got a job in Bristol after the war we moved to Bristol from Leeds but there was very little housing available. After a year of living with a family ‘in digs’ as it was called then, we were allocated a council flat in a beautiful Manor House at the bottom of Park Hill just off the green in Shirehampton. I have wonderful memories of being in the fabulous garden there all day with children living in the other flats. The council decided to pull down this wonderful house which today would be protected and there are now flats built on the site. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers the house or has any photos please.
I believe one of the trees is still alive!
