Shrewsbury, Butcher Row 1924

More about this scene
The timbers in the Abbot's House, as this building is known, have recently been dated - the trees were cut down in 1457. The ground floor served as a row of individual butcher's booths - it is just possible to make out the meat hooks above the two windows on the left.
