Skegness, Lumley Road 1899

More about this scene
At the west end of Lumley Road there were a few shops in 1899, but the view is utterly transformed now from Roman Bank, a reference to the old Roman sea wall. The charmingly rustic stone lion at the left has been replaced by a corner turret and all the buildings are now shops, many of which have been rebuilt, but the view is still terminated by the Jubilee Clock Tower.
