More about this scene
The broad pathway on the left was the main route through the Park, leading from Scarbrough Avenue to Sea View Road, and is now the line of the present Park Avenue. The remaining footpaths became overgrown, and the area eventually became known as the Jungle. Billy Butlin cleared the ground on the North Parade frontage in the 1920s to set up his first amusement park.
