Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

A Memory of Skelmersdale.

i watch a young lad in the 1500mtrs upon the last lap he was last place the lap bell goes it was like a gun going off because this lad took off like a bat out of hell at end of the first lap he shot up to first place. all seemed to be taken by surprise this lad had opened up a big gap down the back straight coming into the final bend the rest were attacking down the straight but the gap and the speed of this lad wins it for boufort house any one out there remember his name. also he did the 800 mtrs and finished second

I think the lad you refer to could be Mark Heffey. I remember he used to always win the 1500m and cross country races always well ahead of the rest of us. That was around 1972/3. I left Glenburn in 1974 aged 16. Trust this helps.
no the lads name was david fisher who won this race, although mark heffy was in the same race alad paul bolton came second
