Looking from the B3153, just east of the town, this photograph shows a local train hauled by a steam engine, whilst the cows below, well used to the noise, continue unconcernedly chewing the cud. The track is the main line between Paddington and Exeter, and here is carried above the River Carey on the back of a five-arch viaduct.
