More about this scene

These gardens are at the rear of Ayscoughfee Hall, which is now in the process of being restored. The building is partly used as the Spalding Tourist Office. The church is the parish church of St Mary and St Nicholas. The pool is now of clear water, and incorporates three fountains. The roofed building has been replaced by the Ayscoughfee Café, and the gardens include an impressive war memorial to Spalding's dead of both wars.
