A Memory of Splott.

Hi everyone , omg u all brought back good memories ..drakes, the fish shop with huge scary crocodile hanging from ceiling, on corner on portmanmoor rd , which is where i lived, no. 13..yes we was poor very poor ,i had4 brothers my name is yasmin ullah i loved jake's sweet shop , i used to go 2 go 2 the mission club run by ron/pauline hamer an upstairs was the boxing club , ive been trying to find old pictures as i aint got 1 of us, as my little brother burned our house down ,well downstairs .a little.firebug but we was poor so no pics ,my dad brought us up , when he went 2 work we had a lovely scottish lady stay looking after us,sheila stewart ,(our guardian angel)x omg i can talk 4 wales .lol.i remember the old greek woman, she wld go crazy if u touched or leaned on her windows but she done some wonderful scrumps(fish batter scraps.lol)cheap.pmsl..hey lynette maybe your mam wasn't feeling 2 well , so wont admit anything .if u really need 2 know go to a hypnotist, im sure u'll get answers hun , in those days seems a different world compared 2 now..internet .technology ..i prefer those days ,poor but happy ..communication these days r nil in families ,, kids don't like fresh air..playing outside ,screaming HSE in neath st ,bingo and running away .,ratatat ginger,apple nobbing .mind u the funniest time i do remember i was sitting outside on kerb ,bored,my 2 brothers went scrapping ..with m8s,then omg 2 policemen came 2 my house , with my brothers by the scruff of their dirty no sleeve jumpers(forgot wot there called)they asked was my parents home i was humming/arring , my 1 bro said 2 them our aunty is looking after us,(a nice old( spanish i think) lady.neighbour),who didn't really speak english lol the police said 2 the lady ,these boys was caught trying 2 steal/ take scrap metal from an old house,,, my bro said how can that be it was boarded up ,the cop gave him a clip round his head,haha, the lady just smiled and said ok mr police man, when cops left us ,my 2 bros argued cos they blamed each other ,when really kevin got chopsy 2 the cop and said he was cleaning the windows(boarded up) thats y they took them home by the scruff..then when my dad came home from work a few days later, i told him everything , so kev had a gd beating..which i felt bad 4 grassing on him, we had aunty sheila watching us but was at her friends hse in aberdovey st,i can chat 4 eva ss x PS...if any1 got any old pics, plse get in contact me .. yasmin x ullkei@aol.com .... thankyou ,,
