More about this scene
This placid village hangs at the skirts of Bodmin moor, and is noted for its antiquities. Close by are the Trevethy Stones - a tipsy cromlech supported by six mighty uprights - and a celebrated Cornish cross and holy well, whose trickling waters were said to have special powers to cure madness.
