St Ives, The Quay c.1955

More about this scene
Here we see an assortment of old holiday cruisers tied up at the quay in St Ives. Note the identical fold-back roofs fitted to each boat. This allowed everyone in the centre cockpit maximum exposure to the East Anglian weather. For centuries, the river was the lifeline of this attractive town.
