Marshfield Zoo,Bottom Trowbridge Road Opposite Marshalls Farm

A Memory of St Mellons.

I moved from Comet Street, Adamstown to Llanndudno Road, Rumney in 1953 and can recall my parents taking me and my sister to a Zoo on the corner of Marshfield Road and the bottom of Trowbridge Road. Anybody else have a memory of this?

I moved to Llandudno Road Rumney.in 1952 and can recollect either moped or light motor racing where the flats are now in Llandudno Road....as a youngster I along with my school friends used to walk up Greenway Road which was a long lane adjacent the top of Llandudno Road before Trowbridge was built.Next door to Farmer Jones was an old cottage with stable doors and we used to watch the old cobbler sitting crossed legged on a bench at the back of the cottage making leather boots and shoes.
