Catching A Shark

A Memory of St Osyth.

I remember being on holiday in St Osyth. I was about 10 years old. In the 1950’s. We met a family and their son and I became friends during the holiday. The son was called Charles (Chas). His father caught a young shark. It lay on the beach. Somehow, a reporter arrived from the local newspaper. I believe we were all on the front page posing with the shark. It is such a vivid memory all these years later. I wonder whether the photograph is in the archives of the newspaper. I would love to see it again.
