More about this scene

This view of the staithe from the old Excise House shows Southgates Boat Hire office, which is now Rivercraft Yachting Services. The family butcher has gone, but the house belonging to Miss Teasel, a well-known local character, still overlooks her pretty garden. The shed on the right is an engine workshop.
