Stamford, The Infirmary 1922

More about this scene
Following a bequest by a local surgeon in 1828, the Infirmary was built in Tudor-Gothic style on the historic Greyfriars site. Clearly health care was a more peaceful business in the 1920s; today the gardens have disappeared under a mass of wards and car parking belonging to the Stamford and Rutland Infirmary.
