More about this scene
Many of Steyning's fine old buildings are now within a Conservation Area, which includes the High Street and Church Street. In the High Street, also known as Market Street in 1622, the chemist's (on the left) occupies part of a 16th-century building of the continuous jetty type. Opposite are three medieval properties, each with a Horsham stone roof.
