Has the sulky-looking girl on the left been told off by her mother? To the right a bikini-clad lady carries a sun umbrella. There are not many bikinis to be spotted here. A typical pram of the day sits on the pebbles. A year later, Britain's finest frogman was to disappear here (see p. 87). Stanley Park is next to the beach. There is a railway station nearby.
