More about this scene
The six hundred-year-old tower of the church at Stourpaine is the oldest part of the building, for much of the rest is modern. Beneath the tower is the notable effigy of John Straight, a former parson, who is portrayed kneeling as if in prayer. The cottage on the right houses the Manor Road Stores.
