My Life At Stubbington House 1971 1973
A Memory of Stubbington.
I arrived at the school in 1971
I was 9 years old
such a long time ago
I read through other people views and remember Mr Moore in the way he has been described and also Mr renton who was a very nice fellow along with the other staff mentioned
being jewish at the time there were only 2 jews at the school, they made allowances for this as we did not have to attend chapel, but there was no dietry food.
I also remember I had a small gardening plot.i remember the cows in the front and we had to run round the field avoiding all the cow dung.
I didn't enjoy my time there ,I remember as a full boarder evry time my parents look me back after a leave out I got very upset.
I was in class 4A as I write this I am looking at a piece of wood I keep on my desk with the signitures of many people in that class.
I did go back there about 10 years or so ago to take a trip down memory lane, same building a little changed but not much
in conclusion,i never sent my children to boarding school because of my experiance
