The motor launch 'Hurlingham' is negotiating the lock at Teddington. A weir is first mentioned here in 1345, and the first lock was built in 1811 with only a single opening for larger craft. The new locks were rebuilt in1904 as double locks, as we see here. The rollers for smaller craft are to the left.
