Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

St Michael's church stands on Church Road close to Lower Green. Its predecessor was an important medieval church, but it was almost totally destroyed by fire in 1950, sad to say. Only the medieval west tower and the Victorian south porch survived. The church was rebuilt by Bernard Miller, who made no attempt to recreate the style of the original.

Pound Cottage
The cottage on the left of the photo belonged to my grandparents - Thomas and Elisabeth Leach from the mid 40's until the late 60's. Many happy days were spent there with my cousins.

Edenhurst Preparatory School
Does anybody remember Edenhurst Preparatory School in Crowther Road? It was a private infants and primary school and I, Paul Evans, was there from the age of about 5 to 8 years. Tettenhall Junior School
I remember starting Tettenhall School. I remember playing hide and seek and hid in the coal shed at the back of the school then being dragged in front of the whole school at assembly for having a black face and clothes from the coal. Our Part In Hitlers Downfall
Tettenhall was a logistical centre for the Normandy Landings. Americans were stationed in Danescourt House - long since demolished. However several of the troops have returned over the years, some of whom were "mothered" by Auntie Grace - Mrs Grace Green, who at the time was the stewardess of South Staffs Golf Club, situated next to Danescourt. Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
