The whole of Gunton village is included in the park and grounds of Gunton Hall. There are lakes and extensive woodlands in the park, and also an old oak tree whose height is 42ft and whose girth is 21ft 6ins. The road from Thorpe passes under this stately tower: it is 120ft high, and commands a wonderful view over the surrounding area.
