Hazel, was no 16a above a bank? Because in 1948 I'm sure there was a family called Bibbins living there. Maybe this was before or after you were there.

Yes it was the Bibbins.The place was Dickensian. Gaslights, no bathroom, and rat infested because of Rules bakery next door. Often see my grandmother chasing them with a broom.
In 1950 we were eventually moved to Beverley Rd......heaven
