In buildings immediately west of Tring Park is housed the Sir Walter Rothschild Zoological Museum, based on his enormous collectoin of stuffed and mounted animals from every corner of the world. This view in the Zebra Room gives a good idea of the style of the museum; it is not to everyone's taste nowadays, although doubtless a tribute to the art of taxidermy.
