More about this scene
A hilltop village on the southern edge of the Worth Forest with distant views of both the North and South Downs. St Leonard's church was built in 1895. The Crown is a 16th-century coaching inn and has a turnspit and crane in a fireplace. The corner shop is located on a crossroads at the highest point in the village. A large chapel is nearby. The scene today is very similar.
