More about this scene
Ullswater snakes into the Lake District hills for seven and a half miles, from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding, and has three major and quite different stretches. This view, looking west from the slopes of Place Fell, is towards the head of the lake at Glenridding, and shows the northern stretch.
