More about this scene
Uppingham is a particularly charming town with an attractive series of 17th- and 18th-century buildings. Surprisingly, the shop fronts in the photograph, have, in the main, been preserved, presumably at the behest of a vigilant local council. The street bustles today in the best possible way.
