More about this scene
Looking east with terrace houses on the left, then a thatched cottage and a 19th-century house with an Ionic porch. On the right are the frontages of Lorne House and West Deyne - school boarding houses. Victoria Tower (1897) flies the school flag. To the far right is the cross on the school chapel. In the distance, as the town centre is approached, there is more activity and the Memorial Hall ogee turrets come into view.
