Uppingham, School Chapel c.1965

More about this scene
Between 1964 and 1965 the north side of the chapel was hidden by a modern extension with an ugly brick gable. The new Owen Window is, however, more praiseworthy. Within the entrance can be seen an imposing statue of Headmaster Rev Edward Thring by Brock. The building attached to the chapel on the right is the Big Schoolroom (1863) reputedly in the style of Oakham Castle.
