Student Nurse
A Memory of Walton.
I am a Ugandan, trained at Walton Hospital School of Nursing from Nov.1966 to 1969. I enjoyed loved training and working at Walton hospital. The nurses hostel was very good - we had a pantry /kichen on the ground floor which was always full of loaves of fresh bread & milk & cookers if you didn't want to go the dining room which was in the hospital. I loved working on male wards than female wards because male patients could make jokes that made the work interesting. I got good reports from all wards and that made me get a present as the best practical nurse at the end of my course - two book's - a medicine book by Tohey and nursing book. I am now retired, living in Eastern Uganda. I still love Liverpool and a fan of Liverpool FC at 81 years on 15th October. God be with you old girls boys and all supporter's of Walton Hospital School of Nursing and Liverpool FC - love you all.
