I live in East Hill estate from 1964 for nine years until my mum moved out of London to a poxy place called Huntingdon in Cambridge used to live on Yarmouth house. Remember seeing a man coming round silly toffee apples went to Eltham in school for a little while also remember bonfire night for the Fire Brigade to come along put the fire horrible people spoiling it for the children
Lived at 26 WestSide from late 40s until the underpass was built, then to Morville House in later 1960s. Loved being able to cross Trinity Road to the common where I spent many hours with different friends, often playing football and cricket. The Frying Pan was wonderful as was the 4 walled building by it which often had water and rubble which was a real invitation for 'bombing' the puddles. I attended ...see more
We used to visit my grandparents who lived in Wandsworth every Saturday between 1977 and 1981. I was aged 6 - 10 years old. We used to love the Arndale Centre, we would look around Woolworths and the indoor market which had a brilliant toy shop. We always had lunch at the same cafe situated in a walkway outside. I always had the same lunch sausage, chips and a cup of tea. There was another toy shop opposite ...see more
