More about this scene
This is a favourite place of pilgrimage for loyal Americans. Washington House, on the main street, was the home of the forebears of American President George Washington. The stars and stripes flag is flown from the church tower every 4 July. Warton is a beautiful and thriving village, with a history going back to prehistoric times.
