More about this scene
This is one of the classic views of the Lake District; it is now used by the modern National Park Authority as its logo. This photograph of the northern shore of Wastwater shows (left to right) the trio of peaks at the head of England's deepest lake - Yewbarrow (2,061 ft), Great Gable (2,949 ft) and Lingmell (2,649 ft).
