Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. More about this scene

Down the street stands Welton's church, dedicated to St Martin and distinguished by its square 14th-century tower. Inside is an ancient tub-shaped font, said to be Saxon. A small brass recalls that in 1899 five sons of the village carved the splendid pulpit 'for the love of the church'. They were also responsible for the alms box, which represents an open hand appealing for coins.

Harrisons
My mother was Irene Harrison who was raised by her aunt Eve Forster in the cottage to the left of the White Horse, her uncles (possibly older cousins) Tom and Bill Harrison ran the blacksmiths on the village green and delivered milk from Church? Farm, it came up the hill in a churn on a handcart and was ladled into billy cans hanging on the pub railings, it was my job to hang out and collect the billy can. I can remember ...see more

Gathering Damsons
I remember going to Welton, with my mother and father, on their motorbike & sidecar, to pick damsons, to make jam, at a Robbins relative that lived in Welton. As far as I have been able to learn, Robbins lived and farmed in Welton since the seventeenth century. I would love to find the house where I went those many years ago. As Far As I Can Ascertain My Family Originated Here And I Would Appreciate Any History Of Weltons
My name is Amy Welton. I live in WV, USA. My family as far as I can tell came from this place. The name may have been de Whelton originally. My direct ancestor is John Welton who came to this country in the early 1700s. Any information anyone has concerning the history of either the family or the place Welton would be greatly appreciated.

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
